Sarkar washes the vermillion off Jasodha’s hairline with a pitcher of water.
Everyone stands there silently watching Jasodha get humiliated in front of the entire family.
Sarkar then walks up to the board in the corner that has a towel wrapped over it and unwraps it.
The invitation to Sarkar and Jalebi’s wedding is printed on the board among the palm prints.
Sarkar places his palm print on one of the prints and instructs Jalebi to place a vermillion-laden hand on another, as is customary for newlyweds.
Jasodha closes her eyes in humiliation, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Met presses the same pitches towards Jalebi as she is ready to place her palm print on the board, making her unstable as her hand slips and scatters the vermillion everywhere.
Sarkar becomes enraged, while everyone else is taken aback by Meet’s audacity.
Meet steps up and informs Sarkar that, just as she has prevented this rite from going place, she will also prevent his marriage from taking place.
Will Met be able to put an end to the marriage?
Will Manmeet see the injustice imposed on his village’s women now that her mother is a victim of it?

सरकार पानी से भरे घड़े को लेकर जसोधा के बालों से सिंदूर धोती है।
सभी जसोधा को पूरे परिवार के सामने अपमानित होते हुए देखते हैं और एक शब्द भी नहीं कहते हैं।
इसके बाद, सरकार उस बोर्ड की ओर बढ़ती है जो कोने में एक कपड़ा लपेटे हुए खड़ा है और उसका अनावरण करता है।
बोर्ड पर हथेली के निशान के साथ सरकार और जलेबी की शादी का निमंत्रण छपा होता है।
सरकार एक प्रिंट पर अपनी हथेली का निशान लगाती है और जलेबी को दूसरे पर सिंदूर से लदी हाथ लगाने के लिए कहती है क्योंकि यह नई दुल्हनों के लिए रस्म है।
जसोधा ने शर्म से आंखें मूंद लीं और आंखों से आंसू छलक पड़े।
जैसे ही वह अपनी हथेली के निशान को बोर्ड पर लगाने वाली होती है, मीत उसी पिच को जलेबी की ओर धकेलती है और उसे असंतुलित कर देती है जबकि उसका हाथ फिसल जाता है और हर जगह सिंदूर बिखेर देता है।

मीत आगे आता है और सरकार से कहता है कि जैसे उसने इस रस्म को होने से रोका है, वैसे ही वह उसकी शादी भी रोक देगी।
